ETPMI Chapter NEWS

📃 Proposed Bylaws Update

As part of our commitment to transparency, accountability, and member engagement, ETPMI is proposing updates to our chapter bylaws for member ratification. These updates are designed to align with PMI Global requirements, clarify board roles, and provide greater flexibility to meet the needs of our expanding and geographically diverse membership.

📌 Highlights of the proposed changes include:

  • Streamlining to seven voting board members

  • Preserving essential roles (President, Secretary, Finance)

  • Introducing standing committees for key functions (e.g., programming, membership, nominations)

  • Supporting growth through acuity-based staffing and potential chapter branches across East Tennessee

  • Strengthening financial accountability through required board-approved budgets and annual reporting

These updates aim to modernize our governance structure while keeping ETPMI a member-driven, volunteer-led chapter rooted in service and collaboration.

📅 Review Period: August 11 – September 14, 2025
