The Department of Defense Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is a cybersecurity contract requirement to prove to DOD that contractors have cybersecurity safeguards in place to protect Federal Contract information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). DOD contracts with CMMC language will not be awarded to companies that do not conform to CMMC requirements.

Dan will discuss the CMMC program, the levels, and their requirements.  

Dan is a CMMC provisional assessor and was presented with the Presidential Volunteer Award for his volunteer efforts in support of the CMMC Accreditation Body's Standards Working Group. He continues to volunteer his time with the CMMC Standards Industry Council which works to simplify and codify the CMMC requirements to aid Defense Industrial Base companies and the CMMC ecosystem. He works for BGS in Oak Ridge, TN and he was instrumental in getting BGS' CMMC program started. BGS was the 4th CMMC Third Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO) to be authorized to perform CMMC assessments in the country.
